Where Should I Go this Summer?

You are a new travel agent. Your teachers are trying to plan their summer vacations. With a partner, you will choose and research a country that you believe will be the best suited for us to travel to this summer.

You will research your country using books, World Book, Internet Resources and blogging with Brookview, Eason, Maple Grove, Walnut Hills, Shuler, and Waukee Elementary 5th grade students. You will transfer the information you find into digital notes to be used in helping you create a PowerPoint slideshow and a graphical poster. You will also research the cost of traveling to that country and put together a 3-5 day travel plan to that country.

You and your partner will present all of your information and artifacts at the end of the project where your teachers will use a summative rubric to decide the country that has everything we are looking for us to travel to this summer. You will also be preparing to enter your country and artifacts in a World Travel Fair where other teachers and parents will be invited to come check out your country to decide whether they would like to travel to that country as well.
